AMACO Velvet Underglazes

for cone 05/06, 5/6 and 10

These underglazes are saturated, dependable and versatile making them a popular choice for amateur and experienced potters alike.  The Velvet line fires true to color at cone 05/06.  Some of the colors change at cone 5/6 and 10, but some of them still fire true to color at the higher temperatures too.  When left unglazed these colors have a rich, textural appearance of velvet.  You can apply a clear glaze over them to gloss them up and intensify the color.  Velvet underglazes can be applied to wet clay, greenware or bisque.  These glazes are food safe when a proper glaze is applied over them.
