Raku Day

Saturday, November 20th 2021

Your favorite out door fall event is back!  We missed everyone last year and are so excited to hold Raku Day this year!
Join us for a day of Food, Fun & Fire sponsored by The Independent Potters' Association! Held every year, the Saturday before Thanksgiving, we start firing at 9 AM and finish at 2 PM. Last call for pot purchase is at 1:30 PM. Admission is $10.00 per pot you wish to fire, with a limit of 3 pots per person. We will have pots for purchase at the door and fun glazes to choose from.

Due to COVID-19 we will not be asking for everyone to bring a dish to pass.  Instead, there will be food trucks to purchase food from.
There will be door prizes and raffle tickets available. Be sure not to miss this great event!

*Please leave your 4 legged companions at home unless they are a service animal.
Raku firing is a process by which pottery is fired at a relatively low temperature and then moved, while hot, to a closed container with combustible materials, (such as paper or sawdust) that ignite and cause a reaction creating colors and patterns on the pottery's surface.
