Terra Cotta is a warm cinnamon brown that is much darker with a clear glaze on top at any temperature. At cone 05/06 it is a red-brown reminiscent of the clay it is named after. It darkens at cone 5/6 and at cone 10 becomes a deep chocolate brown.
Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.
