White Liquid Underglaze is a snow white that is light and powdery at cone 05/06. At cone 5/6 it becomes a warmer white that fluxes into a soft glaze-like surface. At cone 10 it becomes slightly brighter white with a soft sheen. Though the underglaze does become glaze-like, a clear gloss can give White a smooth surface with good color.
Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.
